RennieAlex Rennie
Alex Rennie was born in Oswego, New York on April 23rd 1984, and after relocating throughout the continental United States and Europe, currently resides in Columbia, Missouri. Following unsuccessful attempts at numerous universities and colleges, Alex got involved in the picture business and has proceeded to embark on various successful short films, news serials, and feature length productions, having finally found his future calling. His interests include; any decent aged scotch, Atlanta Braves baseball, and self-taught existential philosophy. Recently, Alex consumed 9 cans of tuna and completed 25 push-ups in less than 40 minutes. His favorite films include: Die Hard, Predator, Terminator, and Boogie Nights.
BeckerNick Renkoski
After a brief apperance in Caught Naked in a Public Place, Nick Renkoski was ready to work with Todd Sklar again on the much more ambitious Box Elder. Nick has loved movies his entire life and even spent years 2 through 5 responding to nothing other than Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters. Currently, Nick wants to make good movies, the kind that affected him so much as a child and continue to affect him today. Nick is Polish.
LauraHina Abdullah
Hina Abdullah attended the LaGuardia School of Performing Arts, where she performed on stage in numerous productions, including A Hatful of Rain, Antigone, The Glass Menagerie, Richard III, and The Best of Strangers, among others. In addition, she appeared in the WGA/IFP Reading Series presentation of The Laramie Project, and in the play Best American, directed by Mary Harron. Abdullah makes her feature debut in the film Margaraet, directed by Kenneth Lonegran.
BillsJon Turk
Jon Turk was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1984 and soon after relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, where he blossomed into the handsome, articulate young man he now is. Jon was first drawn to acting while at the University of Missouri-Columbia and appeared onstage in numerous mediocre productions. Although his character in "Box Elder" is a narcissistic, egomaniachal douchebag with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever, Jon is acually a very nice guy who enjoys playing music and spending time with his family. Please don't punch him in the mouth.
Matt VaggeyBrian Sturgill
Brian Sturgill is working on the railroad. He was conceived on Valentine's Day, 1983 and luckily, was born 9 months later in St. Charles, Missouri. Brian recently graduated from the University of Missouri where he dual majored in road trips and high fives. His performance roots are in improvisational comedy (which is where he met Sklar). He is also a stand-up and sketch comedian. When not performing, Brian enjoys racquetball, sunglasses, and cutting rugs. All the livelong day.
MaxRoss Taylor
While at the University of Missouri, Ross Taylor had lead roles in over 20 plays, and spent three years on improv and sketch-comedy troupes. Recently, he starred in the feature film Ron Is an Island and produced six episodes of a sketch-comedy show for Ozark TV. Before working with Todd Sklar on Box Elder, the two wrote and directed, respectively, the award-winning short film, Caught Naked in a Public Place. Currently, Taylor is planning to move to New York to pursue a career in acting. Work in all mediums is welcome!
